Acupressure is a correlation of ancient oriental health arts; a weaving of psychotherapeutic concepts of the West and Eastern Taoist philosophy, theory, and practice. The Asian theory implies that symptoms, sickness, disease, and emotional and/or conceptual issues are imbalances in an individual’s energy system.
Through the compassionate touch of acupressure these issues are embraced as the energy system is supported through mindful transition.
Each person is remarkably unique within their own system of patterns and responses. Our reactions to life can be habitual - mental, emotional, and physical response. Our own thoughts have distinct effects in both the macro and micro cosmos. Internally, our thoughts can create patterns that generate feelings- emotionally and physically. When these feelings become patterns, we can create chronic harm to our bodies, whether it manifests as a cold, a body ache, an emotion or a long term illness or disease.
All treatments are non-invasive, with the client fully clothed. Treatments will promote a state of deep relaxation that invites the client to open to the connection of their whole being. Through this process the client may experience a release of physical tension or pain, release of emotional or conceptual blockages, and a sense of well being.
Acupressure works to unfold the uniqueness of each individual. Supporting each person during mindful transformation. Helping us tune into our internal states of being, opening meridian pathways to help us create movement where there is stagnation. Gently awakening the connection of our body, mind and spirit, unfolding our own path of truth.
Tension can have detrimental affects on the condition of the skin causing poor circulation of blood and Qi. When the facial muscles hold tension they also hold the ability to freely make expressions, which can also cause more blockages through out the meridian system.
Treatments are effective for releasing:
Tension, fatigue, stress, headaches, migraines, body pains, fibromyalgia, digestive disorders, circulation, carpal tunnel syndrome, ear aches, menstrual/menopausal problems, insomnia, sinus pain or congestion, allergies, asthma, post traumatic stress, anxiety, guilt, anger grief, pregnancy discomforts, and more…
