Post-Surgery Breast Care
Whether breast surgery is for cosmetic or medical reasons, after-care is something that all women should be thinking about for the control of scar tissue and for the maintenance and health of the lymph and lymphatic vessels.
After-care protocol varies enormously from one physician or surgeon to the next, but the serious consequences of scar tissue and/or the buildup of lymphatic fluid should not be ignored. Long after the fact the condition is far more difficult to turn around. If you are having or have had breast surgery, the best scenario is to begin light massage/lymphatic drainage 4-6 weeks after surgery.
Breast massage (approximately 20 minutes) can be included as part of any regular massage, or it can be added on to a full regular massage for an additional $15.
Breast massage alone is available as a 30-minute treatment for $40; breast massage with castor oil packs takes roughly 40 minutes and costs $60.
