Lymphatic Recovery Technique -
for Facials and Anti-Ageing

exclusively at bodyone

The Lymphatic Recovery Technique facial is a local treatment. The treatments are done in a series of 3 or more, in as many days consecutively as the number of treatments. The number of treatments depends on the condition of the skin and the desired results. Lymphatic Recovery Technique is a manual detox therapy that is applied to the surface of the skin.

As a detox it shows rapid results for acne, dull and sluggish complexions, enlarged pores, and other signs of local congestion, like thickening and heaviness around the sinus area and "bags" under the eyes commonly associated with states of mental and emotional exhaustion, allergies and eye strain. It is an excellent anti-ageing or natural face lift and resolves many forms of face pain and tension.

The face is a particularly interesting local application of the Lymphatic Recovery Technique because in this treatment more than any other, the attention to detail is paramount. The dynamic of the face is particular. So much of what we feel is expressed in the face and its many small muscles allow for very fine articulation of expression. If we think about it, our face is the center of our proprioceptive sensory organs. The greatest amount of sensory stimulation enters our face through our eyes, ears, mouth, and nose, as well as our skin. No other part of our body is so involved with the outer world. These senses open the world to us, and us to the world. This direct interaction, can and often is, a source of stress, that we tense against, to limit the degree of stimulation. Think of squinting or pursing our lips. And we also activate the muscles of our face when we process information, whether the source is actual and immediate or imaginal. The life of the mind is active in our face, perhaps because the brain is so close in proximity.

Small lines that form around the eyes, at the brow and around the mouth, all express these mental and sensory interactions with the musculature of the face. Being as we are, creatures of habit, we usually respond to stimulus with the same facial expressions repeatedly. Even when we smile we work the same muscles in the same way repeatedly; our smile is somewhat signature. Whatever our habit, whether to smile or to frown, those muscles that are activated regularly or intensely, begin, like all muscles in the body, to become both more defined as well as tight. When the musculature is tight it puts compression on the small vessels that courier in the nutrients it needs to function as well as those that courier out the waste it generates in activity. And again, the musculature of the face adapts to this stress the very same way as other muscles of the body do. Being hungry for nutrients, and a little toxic, the musculature attempts to shunt some of the waste into the fatty layer and wall it off, so it doesn't interfere with its function any more than possible. It thickens the sheath that surrounds and defines it as the muscle it is, both to add sturdiness in its compromised state and to keep the toxins stored in the surrounding fatty tissue out. As this happens the fibrous anchors that hold the outer layers of the skin to the deeper dermal layers also thicken because the fatty layer is becoming weighty and is pulling away from the tensing musculature. This is what causes the deep lines we see around the brow and mouth. The thickening of the fatty layer, as toxins build up, will make the skin dull because the circulation is occluded. The larger particles of waste, cannot get into the capillaries and the circulation is impaired. Eventually this will show as dullness, weariness and aging. The Lymphatic Recovery Technique cleans the fatty layer, and helps to diminish the build-up of connective tissue, allowing circulation to return to the musculature and the health of the tissue rapidly returns. The change in the quality and function of the skin is unparalleled. The skin becomes pink and translucent, dullness disappears, and blemished skin, once it has released the contents congested under the skin, in the fatty layer, becomes smooth and even. The tissue gives up, with the toxins, fluid, excess fatty tissue, congested biliruben and lymph. And the elasticity of the skin returns.

Sinus problems get tremendous relief, as does jaw pain and certain congestive headaches, although when headaches are a recurring problem we suggest that a local treatment of the shoulders and neck be included in the course of treatment.

Many people suffer from headaches, face pain and or tension due to toxic build up that results from patterns of response to stimulus lived out in the musculature, with habitual intensity. These patterns of response can change, but are locked into the musculature because it is already loaded with toxic stress and is kicked off with very little stimulation. When there is chronic pain and tension in the face and head, like in other parts of the body, the musculature is always on the brink of spasm because the local congested waste is over stimulating the nerves that feed in and out of it.

So whether the motivation is for beauty, pain or anti-aging, nothing serves the situation better than the Lymphatic Recovery Technique. This technique is exclusive to bodyone.
