Graff Lymphatic Recovery - for Pain Relief
exclusively at bodyone
In this case the work is done locally but is still done in a series of treatments done daily – at least three treatments are recommended and at times more, where congestion is very deep and or covering a large area.
For individuals who suffer from chronic pain where muscles and ligaments are in a constant state of tension and/or inflammation, even to the point of limitation of movement, where there is tingling in the area or numbness due to muscle tightness (i.e. idiomatic (unknown cause – that is, not due to pressure on the nerve from a subluxation of the spine) and massage either aggravates the tissue, or where massage relieves the pain it is but for short durations only.
That being said, we still have seen success in this area.
The musculature holds the bones in place.
The muscles supporting the spine need to have a relative bilateral balance in order that the bones are not pulled to one side, thus an imbalanced muscular tension is the underlying cause of subluxation.
When the musculature is tight for long periods of time they compress the vessels and nerves that run through them.
When there is compression on the arteries the tissues suffer a deficit of oxygen rich blood and nutrients transported to the tissues through the arteries.
The tissue also suffers a build-up of metabolic waste (lactic acid being the most well known) and waste products locked in the tissue produce, in the early stages tired, achy muscles.
However, since toxins irritate the nerves, eventually the body will respond to the stress on the nerves by tightening the muscle as a means of keeping the irritating substance out.
Unfortunately, the toxins are already inside the tissue, and more tension on the vessels further impedes the flow of the life supporting contents of the arterial blood and the outflow of waste products via the venous blood.
This is known as the “viscous cycle.”
As the cycle continues the build up of toxins and the increased pressure on the nerves results in nerve pain and where the tension side to side is not uniform, in subluxation.
This build up in the musculature is ubiquitous and is the cause of all complaints by office workers who suffer from repetitive strain.
Toxic build up will also result in the wear and tear seen in arthritis and tendonitis and all conditions ending with “itis” because “itis” means inflammation and wherever there is inflammation there is wear and tear and in most cases it is due to a build up of waste locally.
Wear and tear of the tissues means damage to the tissues.
Damaged tissues caught in early stages can be repaired, in a good tissue environment, by the body, in cases of medium to severe damage, or where the over-all state of the body is toxic, a supplement protocol is suggested and we refer these clients to the herbalist, since individuals vary and so then does the emphasis of the reparation protocol.
As far as the productive application of the Graff Lymphatic Recovery, we have seen immediate improvement even with subluxation because the toxins in the musculature are release, the tissues no longer carry the cause that has maintained the tension, the nerves have less toxic irritation and the bones are free to return to their state of bilateral balance.
Sometimes a chiropractic adjustment is still pursued and where this is the case the adjustment comes easily and “takes,” which means it lasts.
